Taking Robotics by Mindstorms®
March 3 | 9:30 - 10:30am
Robots help humans do many things. They keep us safe. They allow us to explore the far reaches of space. But they can’t do any of these things without the proper programming. We’ll work with LEGO® Mindstorms® robots to explore introductory coding and preliminary programming.
Exploring the Extremes
April 7 | 9:30 - 10:30am
Hurricanes hit certain parts of our country while tornadoes tear through others. Some regions get buried under feet of snow in a single storm, while other areas experience overwhelming heat. Join us for this exploration of the extremes. Then learn how to keep track of weather with a weather station your family makes and takes home.
Cube Bot Connection
May 5 | 9:30 - 10:30am
Some robots are as big as cars… some are small enough for a human to swallow. Learn about robots of all shapes and sizes! Then discover how modular Cubelets® robots can sense, think, and act while completing robotic challenges.
Harnessing Solar Strength
June 2 | 9:30 - 10:30am
Spring will soon give way to a sweltering summer. To celebrate the upcoming solstice, we’ll shine a light on the star of our solar system – the sun! We’ll also put the sun to work. Families construct a solar oven to take home, with some simple recipes to test.
