November Activities at Powerhouse

From turning the clocks back to fall colors on the trees, November is a month full of changes. At Powerhouse we’re changing up our programs for the holiday breaks and invite you to experience special planetarium shows and Design Lab activities! Don’t worry, your favorite Saturday programs will still be running all month long. We look forward to seeing you soon.

NOVEMBER 13 | HOMESCHOOL SCIENCE | 3:00PM-4:00PM
The planet we live on is constantly changing. To better understand the mechanics of this change, students study models of the Earth’s layers, explore Plate Tectonics, and learn about thermal energy.  They use model fault blocks to understand the mechanics of an earthquake and use a seismometer to measure simulated earthquakes and design and test earthquake proof structures on shake tables.
